An outdated LynkServ profile sends a negative signal to homeowners before they've even called you. Here's what to review regularly and why it matters.
Phone Number
This is the most critical piece of information on your profile. If your phone number has changed and you haven't updated it, every homeowner who tries to reach you gets a wrong number or disconnected line. Review your phone number any time it changes and update it immediately.
Business Description
Your description should reflect what your business is doing now, not what it was doing when you first signed up. If you've expanded your service area, added a specialty, or changed your focus, update the description. A description that mentions services you no longer offer is misleading and generates low-quality inquiries.
Website URL
If your website changes (new domain, new URL structure), update the link in your profile. A broken website link signals neglect and costs you conversions.
First-Time Customer Offer
Expired FTCOs don't display to homeowners, but if you've forgotten to set an expiry date and the offer is no longer valid, you could be committing to a discount you don't want to honor. Review your FTCO at least quarterly and refresh it with a new expiry date or updated offer.
Subcategories
If your business expands into new service areas or you stop offering certain services, update your subcategories to match. Showing up in searches for services you don't offer wastes everyone's time.
A Quarterly Review
Set a calendar reminder every three months to log in to your dashboard and review your entire profile. It takes about five minutes. A current, accurate profile consistently outperforms an old, stale one.
