Understanding Your Value

How LynkServ's Scarcity Model Benefits You

Why the three-listing cap per subcategory per city makes Featured worth it.

LynkServ limits Featured and Standard listings to three per subcategory per city. This is intentional — and it's designed to protect the value of your listing.

Why the Cap Exists

On a platform without limits, every plumber in Salt Lake City could pay for a Featured listing. The result would be a long, undifferentiated list with no real advantage to being at the top. By limiting Featured to three per market, we guarantee that Featured providers are always first — not just sometimes.

What It Means If You Hold a Featured Spot

If you hold a Featured spot for Plumbing in Salt Lake City, there are at most two other Featured plumbers competing with you in that market. Every homeowner who searches for a plumber in Salt Lake City will see your listing before any Standard or Basic listings. That's a structural advantage, not a bidding war.

The Waitlist

When a Featured slot is full in your market, new applicants are added to a waitlist and notified when a spot opens. If a Featured provider cancels or switches tiers, the next person on the waitlist gets the opportunity. This creates real scarcity — the spots have genuine market value.

The Standard Cap

Standard listings also have a three-per-market cap per subcategory. This means that Standard listings also have meaningful positions — they aren't buried under dozens of other listings. Standard providers appear in the middle tier of results, after Featured and before Basic.

How to Hold Your Position

Once you have a Featured or Standard spot, your position is secure as long as your subscription remains active. If you cancel and later want to return, you'll go back to the waitlist if the market is full. This gives existing providers a strong reason to stay.
