Understanding Your Value

What Verification Badges Mean and How to Get Them

The Licensed and Insured badges explained — and why they significantly boost homeowner trust.

LynkServ displays two verification badges on provider profiles: Licensed and Insured. These badges are among the most trust-building elements on the entire platform.

Why Badges Matter

Homeowners evaluating service providers have one core concern: is this a legitimate, qualified business? Credentials like a license and insurance answer that question directly. Providers with verification badges consistently receive more engagement than those without, because the badge removes a major source of uncertainty before the homeowner even picks up the phone.

The Licensed Badge

To earn the Licensed badge, submit your license number when setting up your profile or through your dashboard. Our team verifies the number against the relevant Utah licensing authority. Once verified, the green Licensed badge appears on your listing card in search results and on your full profile. If your license number is displayed, homeowners can also see it.

The Insured Badge

To earn the Insured badge, submit proof of current general liability insurance. This typically means a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming LynkServ or simply confirming coverage. We verify that the policy is current and covers your business category.

Which Categories Benefit Most

Licensed and Insured badges are most impactful in high-trust categories: trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing), medical and legal services, and home services where providers are entering a homeowner's property. For these categories, displaying your credentials isn't just a nice-to-have — it's often the deciding factor.

Keeping Your Credentials Current

If your license is renewed or your insurance policy changes, update your information through the dashboard or by contacting support. An expired credential that we can no longer verify will result in the badge being removed.
